The use of masks is necessary only in the following cases:
If you must attend to someone suspected of COVID-19 infection.
If you have a cough or sneeze.
If you must go for food or basic necessities.
If you need to go out for another reason allowed during mandatory social isolation.
Do it in 4 steps:
1. Wash your hands
Before putting on the mask, you should wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. This will prevent you from contaminating the mask.
2. Put on your mask
Cover your mouth and nose with the mask. Make sure there are no gaps between it and your face.
While you are wearing it, it is essential that you do not touch it with your hands. If you do, wash them immediately with soap and water (or an alcohol-based disinfectant), to avoid spreading the virus to other surfaces.
3. Take off your mask
After using it, as soon as it is wet, remove the mask by taking it from behind (by the garters), without touching the front. You must dispose of it in a closed container. Never reuse single-use ones.
4. Wash your hands again
After disposing of the mask, wash your hands again with soap and water for at least 20 seconds to reduce the risk of contamination while you are wearing it.
